The Software Engineer position offers a base salary of €80-90k, depending on experience, along with equity.
The role is remote but requires the individual to be based in a European time zone.
Developers are involved in product decisions early and work across the full technology stack.
The team prioritizes technical investment and implements engineering changes alongside feature work.
Responsibilities include continuous development of the web platform, launching an expanded product suite, responding to user needs, improving user experience, enhancing continuous delivery systems, applying automation and AI, delivering quality code, advocating for best practices, consolidating testing approaches, integrating third-party APIs, ensuring data security, and participating in customer support.
The tech stack includes Ruby on Rails, AWS, Docker, and various other tools.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 5+ years of experience building production-grade web applications in Ruby on Rails, including HTML, CSS, JS, and SQL.
A strong interest in DevOps and experience with continuous delivery systems is required, along with familiarity with AWS, Docker, and Circle CI.
Excellent Object Oriented Programming skills and experience with non-Rails design patterns are necessary.
Experience in building software iteratively using feature flags and working in an agile environment is essential.
Candidates should have experience writing and managing a test suite using RSpec or equivalent.
Familiarity with queueing systems, such as Redis, is an advantage.
Strong communication skills and a high emotional intelligence (EQ) are important.
A growth mindset and a willingness to learn are essential traits.
Previous experience working on a distributed team and enjoying remote work is preferred.
