Description:

  • As a Ruby on Rails Developer, you will closely collaborate with other developers and the product team to define, design, and create services that drive our software products, utilizing modern architecture and development methodologies.
  • You will analyze needs to ensure that the solution being developed considers the current architecture and operational environment, as well as create functionalities and improvements in our current services and products.
  • Responsibilities include developing new features and improvements for our products and services securely and thoroughly, following company guidelines, writing detailed technical documentation, resolving moderately complex technical problems, ensuring code style, maintainability, and best practices, mentoring Junior Engineers to help them develop their technical skills, and confidently launching moderately sized features and improvements with minimal guidance and support from other team members.

Requirements:

  • It is essential to have Portuguese language skills at a B2 level or higher.
  • You must have over 4 years of experience in software design and application development using Ruby and JavaScript.
  • Experience in creating microservices and consumption APIs is required.
  • A solid understanding and professional experience in software engineering and best practices for the complete software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations, is necessary.
  • Practical experience in writing and distributing large-scale distributed systems and high-quality client-server architectures is required.
  • You should be capable of effectively communicating technical ideas and collaborating with both technical and non-technical peers.
  • Additional considerations include prior experience working with GCP, experience with Kafka and/or Pub/Sub, experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes), and knowledge of common algorithms and data structures.
