Description:
InfluxData is seeking a Software Engineer proficient in Rust to join their team working on InfluxDB 3.0, a fast, columnar, time series database written in Rust.
The role involves writing high-performance Rust code for an in-memory columnar store, designing and implementing core components of InfluxDB 3 OSS and Pro, and communicating ideas through design documents and documentation.
Responsibilities also include performing code reviews, fixing issues for customers and open source users, and participating in an on-call rotation.
The position is fully remote, and the application window will be open until at least October 4, 2024.
Requirements:
Strong CS fundamentals and a passion for programming are essential.
Candidates should have 3+ years of backend experience in a mainstream language (Rust, C/C++, Go, etc.) and at least 1 year of solid Rust experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, along with the ability to work asynchronously.
