Description:
As a Security Engineer at Anza, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the Solana ecosystem by designing and implementing robust security measures.
You will work closely with core developers, ecosystem teams, and external auditors to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in distributed systems protocols and blockchain client software.
Your expertise will help shape security best practices and advance the security posture of blockchain technology.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing security and defense-in-depth controls to prevent and limit vulnerabilities.
You will conduct advanced security research on Solana and other Rust-based smart contract platforms.
You will manage and oversee external security audits in collaboration with top-tier third-party firms.
You will lead and optimize bug bounty programs to identify and resolve security threats.
You will effectively communicate security risks and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity, trust, and professionalism in all security practices.
Requirements:
You should have an educational background in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience related to complex distributed systems is required, either on the design, implementation, or testing side.
Familiarity with modern infrastructure tools and testing approaches is necessary.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail, are essential.
You must possess effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Previous auditing experience is required.
Experience working with fuzzing tools in Rust is necessary.
You should adhere to rigorous testing standards.
A demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose thorough iterative solutions is expected.
Proficiency in English is required, sufficient for success in a remote and asynchronous work environment.
You should have effective communication skills that regularly achieve consensus with peers and provide clear status updates.
An inclination towards communication, inclusion, and visibility is important.
You must be self-motivated and self-managing, with excellent organizational skills.
The ability to thrive in a fully remote work environment is essential.

The salary range for US-based candidates will be determined throughout the interview process depending on experience, skill, and location.
Candidates should anticipate an annual base salary (not including incentive compensation or other benefits) of $150,000 USD to $275,000 USD.
