Description:
Settle is a company focused on simplifying inventory purchasing through a cashflow management platform for small business owners.
The Software Engineer will be part of the Inventory team, developing software that helps brands manage and forecast their inventory needs.
The role involves designing and building impactful systems, products, and features that contribute to Settle's success.
Candidates should be versatile back-end engineers with some front-end exposure and a product-focused mindset.
Responsibilities include designing customer-facing features, collaborating with Product and Design teams, optimizing systems for scale and reliability, understanding the product from a customer perspective, mentoring team members, and driving projects to completion.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in a customer-facing or product-driven environment.
A strong understanding of product engineering and its impact on end users is essential.
Technical expertise in designing scalable systems, building APIs, and developing infrastructure is required.
Proficiency in Ruby on Rails is necessary, along with strong foundations in OOP and familiarity with ORM frameworks like Django or Hibernate.
A customer-first mentality and a focus on understanding customer needs are crucial.
Experience in building microservices that support scalability and maintainability is needed.
Candidates should be able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and possess leadership and mentorship skills.
