The role involves designing, coding, and maintaining data curation and ingestion services for the team.
Responsibilities include implementing future-proof architectural solutions, such as distributed computing pipelines, micro-services, contracts, databases, and data flows.
Active participation in code reviews and feedback is expected, along with sharing knowledge and ensuring high quality of technical requirements and documentation.
The candidate will design new services to provide quality feeds and ensure code is up-to-date according to team standards.
A result-first attitude is required while delivering maintainable, readable, testable, secure, DRY, SOLID, and KISS code.

The candidate will provide technical leadership and guidance to junior Dataset curators.

Requirements:

A strong understanding and proficiency in the Python programming language, including knowledge of core concepts, syntax, and data structures is required.
Experience in designing microservice systems and communication is necessary.
Familiarity with data stores like PostgreSQL is essential.
Excellent skills in writing maintainable code are required.
Experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically Docker and Kubernetes, is needed.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex problems, troubleshoot issues, and develop practical solutions are essential.
The candidate should demonstrate rapid and constant learning, being the first to spot and solve problems.
Attention to detail and a highly structured, research-first-then-implement attitude are important.
