Description:

The Software Engineer will be part of the SOX team, responsible for developing the customer onboarding experience.
The role involves designing and building impactful systems, products, and features to support Settle's growth.
The ideal candidate should have a product-focused mindset and be capable of creating foundational systems for future scalability.
Responsibilities include enhancing customer onboarding, architecting systems for product expansion, ensuring fraud and compliance safeguards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
The engineer will also mentor junior engineers and drive projects independently from conception to implementation.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of engineering experience, preferably in a fintech or B2B startup environment.
A strong technical background in API development and system architecture is required, focusing on secure and scalable systems.
Expertise in fraud prevention and compliance, particularly in the fintech sector, is essential.
Proficiency in Ruby on Rails is necessary, or a willingness to learn it quickly; experience with ORM frameworks is preferred.
Experience in designing onboarding systems that comply with SOX and other financial regulations is required.
A growth hacking mindset is needed to develop effective self-service and cross-selling systems.
Candidates should have experience building scalable and secure microservices with a focus on fraud detection.
A customer-focused approach and leadership qualities are essential for mentoring team members and driving projects.
Adaptability and problem-solving skills in a dynamic startup environment are necessary.
