Description:

  • The Software Engineer - Support position is a full-time role based in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Peru, or remote.
  • The company, Panoptyc, utilizes AI and manual review to detect theft at 5,000 markets in the US and aims to expand to 20,000 locations in the next 18 months.
  • The role involves maintaining, designing, and building new and existing features using Angular, C#, and .NET.
  • Responsibilities include deploying code/updates manually, helping to set up the CI/CD pipeline, triaging and fixing issues, and working directly under the Head of Engineering to create solutions and solve problems.
  • The position requires participation in code reviews and one-on-one meetings with the Head of Engineering, as well as collaboration across teams to understand project goals.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have at least 2-3 years of experience working as a Software Engineer.
  • Extensive software engineering experience for web-based applications in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Hands-on experience developing and utilizing RESTful APIs is necessary.
  • Preferred candidates should have hands-on experience with Angular, Typescript, C#, and .NET technologies.
  • An understanding of multiple modern programming languages is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of various programming concepts and their application in building complex systems is essential.
  • Candidates must value well-documented code, as half of the job will involve writing tests and documentation.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken, is required.
  • Attention to detail is crucial, as is the ability to embrace ambiguity and seek help when needed.
  • Candidates should possess a low ego, be honest, and communicate openly about challenges and mistakes.

  • The hourly rate for this role ranges from $30 to $35.
