Description:

The mission of this role is to secure and manage Ubuntu on IoT devices globally.
The team is building a cloud-native solution for large-scale estate and fleet management.
Responsibilities include collaborating with a globally distributed team, writing scalable service APIs in Python and Golang, developing observability and remote logging capabilities, working on cloud-based SaaS offerings, and designing and implementing new features.
The position involves reviewing code, discussing ideas, and collaborating on finding solutions.
The role requires global travel for internal and external events for 2 to 4 weeks.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should be passionate about open source software, Linux, and web services at scale.
They should be curious, flexible, articulate, and accountable, with a broad technology base favoring backend code and infrastructure.
Proficiency in developing tooling and libraries, telemetry systems, cybersecurity, and backend web services is required.
Knowledge and experience in data streaming technologies, observability, monitoring systems, and security/IAM models are essential.
Comfort with Ubuntu as a development and deployment platform is necessary.
A Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field is required.
