Description:

Onebrief is seeking a senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to enhance the testability of their real-time application built on top of socket.io.
The SDET will focus on devising and documenting strategies to improve component testability, writing component and unit tests, and documenting best practices.
The role is remote and full-time, aimed at contributing to a fast-growing startup in the defense space.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced React developer who enjoys challenges and is eager to make a significant impact on the product and growth trajectory of the company.

Requirements:

Candidates must have at least 3 years of frontend development experience with React.
Experience in developing and/or improving tooling around unit and integration testing for React or similar web applications is required.
Applicants should have a track record of creatively implementing shift left methodologies that have demonstrably led to higher code quality.
The role involves mentoring engineers in best practices around code quality.
Nice to have qualifications include experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar declarative pipelines, visual regression testing, end-to-end tests, API tests, load and/or performance testing, and familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
