Description:

  • The Transfers team at Cash App is crucial for allowing customers to link their card and bank accounts, as well as move money into and out of Cash App.
  • The team plays a significant role in the profitability of Cash App through the Instant Cash Out product.
  • As a Software Engineer in the Transfers team, you will help customers fund their Cash App accounts to access various financial products like Cards, Stock, Bitcoin, and Send Money.
  • Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional partners, contributing to the team's roadmap, designing APIs and data models, and enhancing backend systems for speed and quality.
  • The role directly impacts Cash App's success and its ability to improve the financial lives of millions worldwide.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of software development experience or equivalent.
  • Proven track record in end-to-end product/service development, from design to delivery.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-solving skills to address complex system flaws.
  • Innovative mindset to devise creative solutions for challenges.
  • Strong commitment to high code quality, automated testing, and engineering best practices.
  • Familiarity with technologies like Kotlin, Java Web Services, Hibernate, MySQL, DynamoDB, Kafka, AWS Cloud Services, HTTP, JSON, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, OkHttp, JUnit, Guice, DataDog, Prometheus, and SignalFx.
