Description:

Bot Auto is seeking an experienced C++ Software Engineer to join their team and contribute to the advancement of autonomous driving technology.
The role involves working across multiple autonomy teams to develop core libraries and optimize system performance.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing onboard data storage, logger, and event infrastructure for real-time C++ autonomous driving applications, focusing on robustness, scalability, and reliability.
The engineer will develop performance-critical frameworks, reusable libraries, and components using modern C++.
The position also entails creating a real-time, resilient data offloading system to transfer data from onboard systems to a hybrid cloud infrastructure.
The engineer will convert sensor and component messages into various formats to support AI infrastructure, simulation, diagnostics, triaging, and scenario extraction.
Building a flexible data-serving SDK (C++) and API service for cross-functional access to autonomous driving data is also a key responsibility.
The role offers opportunities to learn about data lakehouse ecosystem infrastructure, core relational and NoSQL database infrastructure, data engineering, cloud computing, full stack platform projects, and data science.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must be highly skilled in C++ and have a good knowledge of Python.
Experience in multi-thread programming, developing and deploying embedded software, and working in a Linux environment is essential.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are required.
The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to emerging technologies is important.
Familiarity with full-stack development (e.g., React, Flask) and data engineering & data science, including data modeling, data warehousing, pipeline, reporting tools, and analytics, is preferred.
Familiarity with building core data store and data lake infrastructure is also desired.
Preferred qualifications include experience in performance optimization, storage system knowledge, and familiarity with autonomous driving technologies or similar high-performance computing systems.
