Description:

  • Snapsheet is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Virtual Appraisals (VA) Team, which focuses on improving their internal end-to-end claims platform.
  • The role involves enhancing a new estimating tool that automates workflows and boosts productivity for the estimating team.
  • Responsibilities include contributing to technical design processes, providing improvement suggestions, and playing a key role in establishing Snapsheet as a technology leader in the industry.
  • The position requires working in an agile environment, participating in weekly stand-ups and retrospectives, and proactively addressing scopes and issues.
  • Collaboration with other engineers, product management, and design teams to solve complex problems is essential.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3+ years of fullstack-focused web development experience, including building applications using React and Redux or a similar frontend framework.
  • Experience in designing and building APIs, as well as designing schemas and performant queries for relational databases, is required.
  • A solid understanding of scalability challenges and server-side code performance is necessary.
  • Prior professional experience using React is mandatory, while experience with Ruby on Rails is a plus.
  • Candidates should demonstrate eagerness to learn and work collaboratively within a team.
  • A commitment to quality and a passion for technology and innovative solutions are essential.
  • The ability to manage tasks and contribute to multiple initiatives during a sprint is required.
