Description:

Weights & Biases is seeking a software engineer to contribute to building Weave, a lightweight toolkit for tracking and evaluating GenAI applications.
The role involves playing a foundational part in a small but growing team, developing new tools for the AI developer platform.
Responsibilities include implementing open-source client APIs, integrating with popular LLM tools, improving backend performance, and building features like multi-modal evaluations and dataset editing capabilities.
The position requires actively gathering feedback from users, understanding their workflows, and addressing key bugs to enhance the product.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
A minimum of 4 years of prior experience in Software Engineering is necessary.
Deep knowledge of Python and/or TypeScript is essential.
Experience in building GenAI-powered applications, either personally or professionally, is a must.
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations and adapt quickly to changing business environments. Previous startup experience is a plus.
Preferred: Experience in managing large-scale online production services or OLAP databases.
