Remote Software Engineering Intern

Description:

• The Software Engineering Intern position at Vectra involves working on the Vectra AI Platform to build or enhance features that address customer problems.
• Interns will collaborate with experienced engineers and other interns, with assigned mentors to guide them.
• The internship program typically lasts for 12 weeks and aims to provide a hands-on learning experience in software engineering.
• Interns will have ownership of a high-impact project during the internship, gaining exposure to various aspects of software development such as builds, automated tests, deployments, monitoring, and alerting.
• Opportunities for impactful summer projects aligned with the team's interests and skills will be presented to interns.

Requirements:

• Current student pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming and data structures.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and experience with source control systems, preferably Git.
• Availability for the internship during the summer only.
• Preferred qualifications include knowledge of networking and security fundamentals, understanding of databases beyond basic queries, experience with REST APIs, and performance tuning skills.
