The Software Engineering Team Lead will focus on backend development while managing a team of engineers in the LatAM region.
Responsibilities include hands-on coding, driving architecture, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions.
The role involves leading a diverse team of engineers (Backend, Frontend, Mobile, and QA), mentoring, conducting performance reviews, and facilitating career development.
The position requires providing technical leadership and ensuring best practices in software development, code quality, and architecture.
The development lifecycle includes requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
The backend tech stack includes Java Springboot, K8s, AWS, MySQL, RocketMQ, Grafana, Prometheus, and Jenkins, while the wider tech stack includes VueJS, Kotlin, and Swift.

Requirements:

Candidates should have 6+ years of hands-on backend coding experience, preferably in Java.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in leading and managing engineering teams is required.
Strong expertise in APIs and microservices is essential.
Candidates must have significant experience in software architecture and designing scalable, reliable systems.
Proficiency in English is necessary as Sporty operates in an English-speaking environment.
