Description:

  • EcoVadis is seeking a motivated Technical Lead to join their web applications teams in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with the option for remote work.
  • The Technical Lead will be responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of web-based solutions.
  • This role involves hands-on development, defining architectures for new projects, performing code reviews, and mentoring junior and mid-level developers.
  • The Technical Lead will collaborate with geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams to integrate, test, and deliver complex software solutions in a timely manner.
  • Responsibilities include taking ownership of architecture qualities such as availability, resilience, and scalability of all solutions built and delivered.
  • The role promotes technical excellence within the engineering team through everyday craftsmanship.
  • The Technical Lead will work within an agile team to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across full-stack development tools and technologies.
  • A passion for coaching and motivating team members is essential.
  • The Technical Lead will work with the Team Leader and Product Owner to understand desired application capabilities and promote technology expertise with insights about current technology trends and solutions.
  • Identifying and characterizing technical risks throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and generating mitigation options is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 7+ years of working experience as a senior software engineer.
  • A minimum of 2+ years in design and architecture review is required.
  • Candidates should have 2+ years of experience building modern web applications based on Web APIs (REST, RPC-over-HTTP, WebSockets, CQRS, DDD, etc.).
  • Expert knowledge in building web applications and Web HTTP APIs based on the .NET stack with C# (ASP.NET MVC / Web API / Core, MS SQL Server) is essential.
  • Practical experience with building enterprise JavaScript applications using React+Redux is a plus.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is required.
  • Candidates should have the ability to interview and contribute to the selection and training of engineers.
  • A clear understanding of how to plan and execute within iterations and sprints is necessary.
  • The ability to work well in an international and multicultural environment in a fast-growing company is important.
  • Experience building enterprise-grade, public-facing web applications is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or Master of Engineering in computer science or a relevant field is necessary.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Candidates should be self-driven and a team player.
