Jobgether is seeking a Software Security Architect for a remote position in Canada.
This role is designed for a seasoned security professional who is passionate about building secure, cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
The Software Security Architect will lead the design and implementation of security strategies for cloud environments, focusing on encryption, compliance, and threat mitigation.
Responsibilities include collaborating with engineering, operations, and compliance teams to ensure that every layer of the platform meets high standards for performance, resilience, and data protection.
This strategic, hands-on position will have a direct impact on achieving SOC2 and FedRAMP certifications while continuously enhancing the security posture.
Key accountabilities include designing secure architectures across AWS environments, developing encryption strategies, integrating security best practices into the software development lifecycle, leading threat modeling exercises, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 10+ years of experience developing full-stack applications, with at least 5 years in a security architecture role.
A deep understanding of encryption techniques, secure coding, and cloud-native application security is required.
Proficiency in SOC2, NIST frameworks, and FedRAMP compliance standards is essential.
Strong expertise in AWS services, containerization (Docker), Kubernetes, and serverless computing (e.g., AWS Lambda) is necessary.
Experience with threat modeling, vulnerability management, and defense-in-depth implementation is required.
Excellent cross-functional communication and leadership skills are a must.
Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required for collaboration across Canada and beyond.
