Description:

We are seeking a highly capable DevSecOps Engineer to lead the implementation of secure authentication and authorization systems across a suite of client-facing SaaS applications.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior engineering leadership to ensure security is deeply integrated into the development lifecycle.
The ideal candidate brings a software or DevOps engineering background with proven experience building secure, scalable systems.
This role offers the opportunity to evolve into a broader security leadership position over time.
You will partner with the CTO and Principal Engineer to implement and manage Keycloak as the centralized authentication and authorization system across multiple client-facing applications.
You will build and integrate security mechanisms directly into software and operations workflows, ensuring compliance with best practices in secure application development.
You will address common security vulnerabilities such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting, and LDAP injection within the development lifecycle.
You will support and enhance Web API security, including development and testing with custom providers.
You will operate autonomously while driving initiatives and communicating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders in a SaaS environment.
You will demonstrate polished leadership and the ability to guide technical direction in a professional, client-facing context.

Requirements:

Hands-on experience implementing Keycloak for authentication and authorization across multiple applications is required.
A background in software engineering or DevOps with a strong emphasis on secure development practices is necessary.
An understanding of common web application vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL injection, XSS, LDAP injection) and strategies for prevention is essential.
Experience with Web API development and testing, especially around custom security implementations, is required.
The ability to work independently with minimal oversight is necessary.
Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills, particularly in SaaS or client-facing technology organizations, are required.

The position offers an hourly wage of $75 - $90.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a project duration of 3-6 months.
The role is remote, providing flexibility in work location.
