Description:
Dynamis is seeking a Software Security Engineer to support a contract with the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The overall responsibility of the Software Security Engineer is to implement, test, and operate advanced software security techniques in compliance with technical reference architecture for the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).
The engineer will perform ongoing security testing and code review to improve software security.
Troubleshooting and debugging issues that arise is a key part of the role.
The engineer will provide engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities.
Contributions to all levels of the architecture are expected.
Maintaining technical documentation is required.
The engineer will consult team members on secure coding practices.
Developing and maintaining familiarity with new tools and best practices is essential.
The role includes engineering and implementing DevOpsSec (CI/CD) pipelines and incorporating security protocols while deploying infrastructure as code (IaC).
Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain ICE Suitability.
A Bachelor’s degree in a science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) field and 9 years of IT security (Cybersecurity) experience is required; or 7 years with a Master's degree; or 4 years with a PhD. Experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
A minimum of 5 years of technical leadership experience is necessary.
Candidates must hold a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) Certification, or Certified Application Security Engineer (CASE) Certification.
An AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional certification is required.
Experience with DevOpsSec pipeline tools, including configuration management, requirements (e.g., JIRA), automated testing, automated deployments, blue-green deployments, and branching strategy and implementation is essential.
Experience with performing Security Control Assessment in compliance with NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-53A, and other NIST 800 guide series is required.
