Description:
This is a contract position for those based in Brazil, with an initial contract duration of 4 - 6 months and strong potential for extension.
The Software Technical Lead will manage and inspire development teams while remaining hands-on in technical delivery.
The role involves transforming client requirements into high-quality solutions and driving collaboration across teams to ensure exceptional outcomes within defined timeframes.
Responsibilities include designing and developing scalable, cloud-based applications using server-side technologies, particularly Golang.
The Technical Lead will provide both technical and line-management leadership to the team, ensuring alignment with best practices and delivering exceptional outcomes.
The position requires ownership of project success by guiding technical direction, resolving blockers, and meeting timelines.
The role involves direct collaboration with clients to translate business requirements into actionable technical briefs and reports.
Regular updates will be provided to both client and NearForm leadership to ensure transparency and informed decision-making.
The Technical Lead will foster a culture of excellence by mentoring team members on best practices, design patterns, and technical solutions.
Requirements:
Proven ability to lead software engineering teams in complex, enterprise environments is essential.
The candidate must be skilled in working directly with clients, translating requirements, and managing expectations.
Extensive experience with server-side technologies, particularly Golang, is required.
Proficiency in gRPC Protobufs, PostgreSQL optimization, and complex query creation is necessary.
Expertise in integrating with third-party APIs and managing two-way syncs is expected.
A deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices is crucial.
Strong experience in test-driven development, testing best practices, and maintaining high code quality is required.
Mastery of design patterns, open-source tools, and operational concerns such as monitoring, security, performance, accessibility, and GDPR compliance is necessary.
The candidate must possess the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to motivate and mentor diverse teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment is essential.
