Ondo Finance is seeking a Solana Smart Contract Engineer to architect, build, and deploy smart contracts for tokenized real-world asset infrastructure.
The role focuses on the Solana blockchain and involves collaboration with a high-caliber team across engineering, product, and strategy.
The ideal candidate is a U.S.-based engineer who excels in lean, high-impact environments and has a proven history of engineering excellence.
Key outcomes include architecting and shipping robust, secure, and gas-efficient smart contracts, deploying Solana-based protocols, and ensuring contract design aligns with regulatory and product goals.
Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining smart contracts in Rust, owning technical design decisions, contributing to protocol architecture, working with security auditors, developing internal tooling, and collaborating with various teams.

Requirements:

Candidates must be based in the United States and are open to remote work.
Demonstrated experience in deploying production-grade Solana smart contracts is required.
A deep understanding of Rust, Anchor, and the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) is essential.
The ability to work independently, manage project complexity, and own features end-to-end is necessary.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Nice to have: experience with open-source Solana projects or DeFi protocols, familiarity with multi-chain interoperability, understanding of DeFi primitives, prior work with real-world asset tokenization, and exposure to TypeScript and front-end contract integration tooling.
