Remote Solution Architect (FREELANCE)

Description:

• Wasserman Digital is looking for a Solution Architect / Technical Lead to oversee the architecture and management of development projects for various eCommerce platforms, primarily Shopify and other SaaS platforms.
• The Tech Lead will be responsible for defining the technical solution, communicating with clients, and collaborating with engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure top-notch technical delivery.
• Responsibilities include launching eCommerce solutions, providing technical expertise to clients, managing maintenance and support of eCommerce sites, coordinating development tasks, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting issues, and enforcing development environment standards.
• This position can be remote within the continental USA time zone or based in one of Wasserman Digital's offices, with the headquarters located in Boston.

Requirements:

• Must be an expert in the Shopify platform with prior experience in building sites, themes, and extensions.
• Thorough understanding of Shopify APIs, tools, capabilities, and limitations.
• 5+ years of web development experience using Javascript, jQuery, AJAX, Webpack, CSS/SASS, npm/yarn, HTML/5, and liquid templates.
• Knowledge of modern frameworks like React.js, Vue.js, PWAs, and Headless approaches is advantageous.
• Experience with Laravel, BigCommerce, Magento, or other eCommerce platforms is a plus.
• Strongly desired to have project or team lead experience.
