Remote Solution Architect (M365 Presales Solution Architect)

Description:

• As a Solution Architect (SA), you will provide technical designing advice to both new and existing customers in new sales opportunities that fit defined technical and budgetary requirements.
• You will work alongside Sales, Service Delivery Manager, and Support to achieve financial targets by designing solutions for client challenges.
• Your role involves identifying, technically qualifying, and addressing prospect’s technical requirements through consultative methods.
• You will apply specialized product or technical knowledge to assist customers with infrastructure consolidation, transformation, and optimization of Dedicated, Multi-cloud, and Modern Workplace Environments.
• You will facilitate group white-boarding sessions to articulate Rackspace solutions, transformation methodology, and develop business case value with financial calculations such as TCO and ROI.
• Regular communication with Project Managers and extended teams during presales and project delivery is essential to ensure timely delivery and awareness of potential problems or risks.
• You will prepare statements of work that include overview, scope, duration, deliverables, resources, terms and conditions, assumptions, and pricing.
• Your responsibilities include leading the sale of assessment services, business case development, solution architecture, and complex migration programs.
• You will create and present deliverables to customers, including asset inventory, infrastructure snapshots, capacity and performance analysis, and migration methodologies.
• Understanding complex IT and business customer challenges and applying technology and product knowledge to solve problems is crucial.
• You will seek to improve and refine Rackspace Professional Services methodology, deliverables, and sales collateral.
• Building and maintaining a network of cross-functional technical resources within Rackspace and partnerships is necessary for higher productivity and rapid problem resolution.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related technical field is preferred.
• You should have over 5 years of industry experience in technical support and/or pre or post sales engineering and architecture.
• Deep knowledge and experience across multiple technologies in a single domain (Cloud, Security, DevOps, etc.) is required.
• Exposure to a range of IT environments, industry sectors, and technology stacks is necessary.
• At least one top-tier technical certification in a highly desired technology domain is required.
• Extensive experience in managed services, consulting, technical support, and/or application development is preferred.
• You must have the ability and willingness to learn new concepts and technology to adapt to changing SaaS platforms.
• A desire to continuously keep knowledge up to date by earning relevant certifications in your specialty domain is essential.
• You should be willing to occasionally work extended hours to meet project requirements or deadlines.
• Solid knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID is required.
• A solid working knowledge of Exchange, SharePoint, and Powershell – Microsoft 365 Productivity solutions is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of M365 licensing services and features is necessary.
• One or more certifications in Security, Information Protection, Compliance, Endpoint Administration, Teams, or Microsoft 365 Administration is desired.
