Remote Solution Architect, Sales Incentive Compensation Management (ICM)

Description:

• Cloudflare is seeking a Solution Architect for Sales Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) to join their Finance & Business Operations Organization.
• This role will provide both technical and operational support to Cloudflare’s Global Commissions Tooling & Strategy.
• Responsibilities include supporting strategic direction, product vision, customer discovery, feature prioritization, and cross-functional alignment for Cloudflare’s Commission Tech Stack.
• The candidate will identify and implement leading practice architecture and build techniques, optimizing for scalability, usability, flexibility, and analytical intelligence.
• Coordination with the ICM team and managed services resources is essential to execute and implement builds, enhancements, and testing.
• The role involves supporting the implementation of robust change management processes and testing frameworks.
• A business-focused approach to technical work is required, including learning and understanding the language of key stakeholders and business partners.
• The candidate will plan and execute appropriate testing, review and analyze application performance, and provide enhancement recommendations.
• Risk assessment for new functionality and enhancements will also be part of the responsibilities.
• Extensive solution/process documentation and enablement infrastructure will need to be built to scale consistent practices.
• The role requires building deep knowledge and leveraging relationships to influence outcomes and prioritization of upstream system enhancements impacting ICM practice.
• Support for the implementation of appropriate SOX Controls in partnership with the Controllership and Internal Audit Organizations is necessary.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Product Management, Technical Project Management, Consulting, or Incentive Compensation Administration is required, with a preference for experience in a SaaS business model.
• A firm grasp of the commission administrative process flow, including plan document distribution, transaction crediting, incentive calculations, payment file preparation, and issue resolution is essential.
• Experience or understanding of commissions-specific SOX Controls is required, along with familiarity with tools such as Varicent, Anaplan ICM, Xactly, or CaptivateIQ.
• Proficiency in SQL platforms and queries is necessary.
• Familiarity with services such as EC2 and S3, and experience working with large-scale, complex datasets is preferred.
• Coding proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Perl, Java, etc.) is preferred.
• The candidate must be a clear and concise communicator, able to synthesize complex data or business problems into actionable information.
• The ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while maintaining attention to detail is required.
• A results-oriented, self-starter attitude with strong organizational skills and a team-focused approach is essential.
