Description:
As a Service Now Lead within our Managed Services Provider (MSP) firm, you will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and development of new features and functionality to better serve our client base.
This role requires a deep understanding of ITSM capabilities and processes, along with a background in implementing technology to support ITIL frameworks.
You will have ServiceNow technical acumen and experience, serving as an internal escalation point for leadership and peers.
This is a hands-on role with expectations of involvement in day-to-day activities.
Essential duties include the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow customization, including core setup, workflow administration, reporting, data imports, custom scripting, and third-party software integrations.
You will be responsible for programming workflow, enhancements, and integrations with ServiceNow platform applications.
The role involves executing assigned project-based work for technical implementations of new solutions or changes to current solutions.
You will perform upgrades and customizations of ServiceNow platform applications based on guidance from project managers, architects, ITIL practice leads, and customers.
Providing support and guidance to development teams during the analysis, development, and testing processes is also part of your responsibilities.
You will review and approve third-party and integration solution architecture based on established enterprise application strategy.
Defining and validating non-functional (technical) requirements and establishing traceability between requirements and application architecture/design is essential.
Requirements:
You must have 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow Development, Implementation, and Integration.
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow ITSM is required.
Experience in successfully carrying out end-to-end implementation of IT solutions and support is necessary.
Knowledge of ITIL is required, with a minimum Foundation level, ideally higher.
A fundamental understanding of key technologies relevant to ServiceNow integration solutions, including SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, and FTPS, is essential.
You should have experience working with internal and external stakeholders, analyzing business needs, and defining integration requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, including the ability to listen and communicate well with clients.
The ability to develop rapport with internal technical staff and leadership, along with excellent interpersonal skills, is necessary.
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment is essential.
You must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills are required.
Creativity and the ability to think outside the box while defining sound and practical solutions are necessary.
A working knowledge of ServiceNow in an MSP environment is preferred.
You must hold a ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
A ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist for ITSM (CIS-ITSM) certification is also required.
