Description:

  • The Sales Engineer will be a critical part of the Sales team, serving as the primary technical resource for driving growth in the APAC region.
  • This role involves pre-sales strategy and technical expertise for the development and implementation of complex products, applications, and solutions.
  • The Sales Engineer will lead and manage the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders as the key technical advisor and product advocate.
  • Responsibilities include the development and delivery of high-stakes sales presentations and product demonstrations for new prospects and existing clients.
  • The Sales Engineer will support Sales teams by managing responses to functional and technical elements of service quotes, RFPs, and Scope of Works.
  • They will lead customer pilots and evaluations, including writing up results and findings.
  • The role requires evaluating clients’ vendor requirements and developing integration strategies for the Secure Code Warrior platform.
  • The Sales Engineer will collect and document customer requirements and develop use-cases for the Product Management team.
  • They will work with marketing and product management to create sales and product assets to enhance success across the customer life cycle.
  • Conducting market research and contributing to go-to-market strategy and tactics for the Product Marketing team is also part of the role.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, ideally with a cyber-security software company or a cyber-security service provider with large enterprise customers is required.
  • Candidates must possess deep domain knowledge of new business development in the App Sec, Technology, Cyber-Security Sector, or SaaS space.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, including the ability to think on their feet when faced with challenging questions in the sales environment.
  • Strong client-facing skills are necessary, including experience in meeting and presenting to clients at similar types and levels of contact.
  • Effective and clear communication skills, both written and verbal, are required, along with the ability to present to a variety of audiences.
