Description:

As a Solutions Architect for Toptal’s Data & AI Practice, you will design and implement innovative AI and data-driven solutions for clients.
You will report to the Director of Data & AI and collaborate closely with clients, sales, and technical teams to create scalable architectures that drive business value.
The role requires expertise in AI, machine learning, and data solutions, with a focus on cross-industry target buyers and their priorities.
You will have hands-on experience in AI/ML solution architecture, including predictive modeling, NLP, computer vision, and Generative AI.
Your knowledge will inform business decisions regarding service offerings, pricing strategies, and value positioning to maintain Toptal’s competitiveness.
This is a remote position, and all communication must be in English.
Responsibilities include designing scalable AI/ML solutions, engaging with clients to assess requirements, providing technical leadership, integrating advanced AI techniques, and supporting pre-sales efforts.
You will collaborate with various teams to align AI and data strategies with market demand and stay updated on AI/ML advancements.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree is required for this position.
You must have 12+ years of experience in AI/ML, data engineering, or cloud architecture, with at least 3+ years focused on AI/ML solution architecture.
A strong background in AI/ML, including predictive modeling, NLP, deep learning, and Generative AI, is essential.
Expertise in designing AI/ML solutions in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, and Azure is required.
Proficiency in AI/ML development frameworks and tools like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, and LangChain is necessary.
Experience with big data technologies, including Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, and Databricks, is expected.
A strong understanding of MLOps best practices and model deployment strategies is crucial.
You should have a track record of leading technical pre-sales efforts and architecting client solutions.
The ability to communicate complex AI/ML concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders is important.
A passion for AI innovation and the ability to drive thought leadership in the field is required.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
You must be able to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company and handle a variety of challenges and deadlines.
