Description:
Aligned Incentives is seeking a highly motivated and experienced innovator to act as a visionary that defines data connections and transformations (ETL/ELT) required to automate the process of collecting and validating customer data for downstream use in the standard data schemas required for the Aligned Incentives AITrack application.
This position will actively work with client-facing consultants and life cycle assessment (LCA) analysts to translate business requirements into technology requirements for deriving standardized data pipelines to be implemented by the data engineering team.
The role involves working with software implementation specialists who manage the configuration and deployment of AITrack for new clients.
Responsibilities include completing a data discovery and gap analysis, developing specifications for data harmonization, data gap management, data validation procedures, data workflows, and data visualizations.
The position also requires the configuration of core data tables within the customer’s data schema and coordinating with the data engineering team to implement all specifications.
Requirements:
A Master's degree in computer science, data science, information science, or an equivalent field is preferred; a Bachelor's degree will be considered if the candidate has demonstrated strong subject matter expertise and measurable success.
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong experience collaborating and coordinating with data owners and stakeholders are required, along with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses is necessary.
Candidates must have experience defining the data architecture framework, standards, and principles, including modeling, metadata, reference data such as product codes and client categories, and master data such as clients, vendors, and materials.
Experience defining reference architecture and data flows with the intention of creating repeatable and standardized processes to manage data processing is required.
Strong and proven data modeling and design skills are essential.
Demonstrated leadership in developing and executing plans to identify data sources and deriving solutions for addressing data gaps and issues associated with low data fidelity is necessary.
Candidates must be highly experienced with one or more database platforms such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
An entrepreneurial mindset and eagerness to learn new fields and grow with the company are important.
