Remote Solutions Engineer

Description:

• MagicSchool is a premier generative AI platform for teachers, with over 3.5 million teachers globally.
• The Solutions Engineer role focuses on enabling seamless integrations between the platform and key partners, including Enterprise and Mid-Market customers.
• Responsibilities include delivering API and LTI integrations, enhancing documentation and standards, supporting and troubleshooting integration challenges, building proof-of-concepts, and leading and mentoring teammates.
• The role requires hands-on engineering combined with strategic collaboration across teams to deliver world-class EdTech integrations.

Requirements:

• Strong expertise in API and LTI integrations, particularly with EdTech systems such as Clever, Canvas, Schoology, or Google Classroom is required.
• Proficiency in modern web development technologies, including Node.js, Next.js, React, TypeScript, Serverless & Edge functions, and PostgreSQL is necessary.
• In-depth experience with SSO technologies, including OAuth 2.0 and OpenID, is essential.
• Experience in troubleshooting and supporting integrations for school systems, with effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders is required.
• Exceptional ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly language for varied audiences is necessary.
• Familiarity with student information systems (e.g., PowerSchool, Blackboard) and their integration processes is preferred.
• Proven experience in collaborating across teams and with external partners to deliver impactful technical solutions is essential.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, focusing on API integrations or similar technical solutions is required.
• A proven track record of integrating third-party platforms and SSO solutions is necessary.
• Direct experience working with EdTech platforms, LMS, or SIS systems is required.
