Description:
The Solutions Engineer role is part of the GTM organization within the APAC region, serving as a trusted technical advisor to the local sales team, partners, and customers.
The role involves working on projects with forward-thinking organizations to guide them in their Generative AI journeys.
Solutions Engineers at Glean connect the Glean platform to key decision-making platforms such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, Slack, GitHub, and Zendesk.
Responsibilities include performing interactive demonstrations of the Glean platform to prospective customers and educating their technical teams on the platform's architecture.
The role requires scoping and executing sponsored pilot and Proof of Value (PoV) exercises to validate technical requirements and business objectives.
Solutions Engineers will educate and train customers and partners on the product to ensure their success.
Presenting at company-sponsored events like Google Cloud Next and AWS re:Invent is also part of the role.
The position involves liaising with Glean product managers and engineers to investigate issues, raise feature requests, and understand the future roadmap.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in enterprise software pre-sales, utilizing value-based discovery frameworks is necessary.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for handling complex technical challenges.
The ability to explain complex technical concepts in layman’s terms to educate and train customers, prospects, and partners is required.
Comfort in presenting both virtually and in-person is necessary.
Candidates should thrive in a customer-focused, cross-functional environment and be proactive with a positive attitude.
Strong understanding and experience with popular SaaS tools such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Slack is required.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms like GCP, AWS, and Azure is necessary.
Knowledge of identity services and Single Sign-On (SSO) providers, as well as familiarity with APIs and security concepts, is required.
