Description:
Tailscale is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join their rapidly growing team.
The role involves helping customers design, implement, and manage their Tailscale deployment to meet business objectives.
The Solutions Engineer will collaborate closely with Tailscale’s Sales and Customer Success teams and provide technical expertise.
Responsibilities include identifying new opportunities with the Sales team, communicating Tailscale’s value, providing technical expertise through presentations and demonstrations, and maintaining ongoing relationships with customers post-deployment.
The position requires staying updated on the latest cloud, network, and security technologies and trends.
Experience in a devtool software company, network security, and software startup environments is considered a plus.
The ideal candidate should have experience writing project plans collaboratively with customers.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role such as a Solutions Engineer or Sales Engineer.
A demonstrated success in working at a startup with multiple priorities and projects is required.
The candidate should be passionate about collaborating with the sales team on presales initiatives and crafting compelling demonstrations and presentations.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.
Experience in systems administration and troubleshooting across Linux, Mac, or Windows is necessary.
Familiarity with networking and security concepts is required.
A desire to learn programming/scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Go, TypeScript, and HCL is expected.
