Description:

  • The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for assisting customers in designing, implementing, and managing their Tailscale deployment to meet their business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Customer Success teams to provide technical expertise and support.
  • Communicate Tailscale's value proposition to customers and address any concerns or issues.
  • Provide technical support through sales presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts.
  • Offer feedback to Product and Engineering teams for product improvements based on customer needs.
  • Maintain relationships with customers from pre-sales to post-deployment.
  • Stay updated on the latest cloud, network, and security technologies and trends.
  • Experience in a devtool software company, network security, and software startup environment is a plus.
  • Collaborate with customers on writing project plans.

Requirements:

  • Must have 3+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role like Solutions Engineer or Sales Engineer.
  • Demonstrated success in working at a startup with multiple priorities and projects.
  • Passion for collaborating with the sales team on presales initiatives and crafting compelling demonstrations and presentations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in systems administration and troubleshooting on Linux, Mac, or Windows.
  • Familiarity with networking and security concepts.
  • Desire to learn programming/scripting skills in Bash, Go, TypeScript, HCL, etc.
