Description:
The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for assisting customers in designing, implementing, and managing their Tailscale deployment to meet their business objectives.
Collaborate with the Sales and Customer Success teams to provide technical expertise and support.
Communicate Tailscale's value proposition to customers and address any concerns or issues.
Provide technical support through sales presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts.
Offer feedback to Product and Engineering teams for product improvements based on customer needs.
Maintain relationships with customers from pre-sales to post-deployment.
Stay updated on the latest cloud, network, and security technologies and trends.
Experience in a devtool software company, network security, and software startup environment is a plus.
Collaborate with customers on writing project plans.
Requirements:
Must have 3+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role like Solutions Engineer or Sales Engineer.
Demonstrated success in working at a startup with multiple priorities and projects.
Passion for collaborating with the sales team on presales initiatives and crafting compelling demonstrations and presentations.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience in systems administration and troubleshooting on Linux, Mac, or Windows.
Familiarity with networking and security concepts.
Desire to learn programming/scripting skills in Bash, Go, TypeScript, HCL, etc.
