Description:
GitBook is a fully remote company that serves as a hub for documentation for high-performing teams.
The Solutions Engineer will act as a bridge between customers, sales, and product teams.
The role involves understanding customer needs and helping them maximize the value of the GitBook product.
Responsibilities include being the technical expert for sales, joining customer calls, distilling feedback for the product team, onboarding customers on technical features, building automation for content migrations, creating custom integrations, and identifying scaling opportunities through documentation and guides.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in client-facing roles, including technical consulting, product demonstrations, and implementation support.
A strong understanding of OpenAPI specifications, API design principles (including RESTful APIs, Swagger, and OAuth2), GitHub, and common web technologies is required.
Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript or similar is necessary for working on API integrations and custom implementations.
A deep understanding of GitHub and CI/CD pipelines is essential.
Candidates must be customer-centric, data-driven, and able to think analytically to align efforts with customer and business needs.
Strong communication skills are needed to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
A native English speaker is preferred.
