Description:
As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will be the primary technical resource for the Enterprise Accounts team.
You will share your product and technical expertise through presentations, product demonstrations, and technical evaluations (Proof Of Values).
Your role involves working with clients to understand their requirements and pain points, then designing the right solution for their business needs.
During the sales cycle, you will guide clients through trials and POVs, demonstrating Sumo Logic’s ability to meet and exceed their requirements.
You will build positive relationships that provide continuous value to customers.
You will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with Product Management and Engineering teams to share your knowledge and experiences to improve business and customer success.
The position requires leveraging technical and people skills to deliver solutions to clients and become a trusted advisor.
A self-motivated and curious attitude towards learning more about Sumo Logic and its problem-solving capabilities is essential.
Requirements:
A B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required; an M.S. in the same fields is preferred.
A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Implementation Consultant, Support Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or Software Developer with customer interaction experience is preferred.
Hands-on knowledge of security-related products and technologies such as IDS/IPS, SIEM/Log Management, and Threat Detection is required.
Experience with open-source collections like Telegraf, FluentBit, and Open Telemetry is preferred.
Experience leading and running technical validations like Proof of Value is preferred.
Familiarity with selling and working with pure SaaS solutions in multi-tenant architectures is required.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure is preferred, with certification being a plus.
A broad understanding of technical infrastructure, including servers, networking devices, and storage, is required.
Understanding of modern application architecture, including micro-services and containers, and experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or Lambda is preferred.
Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, Datadog, or New Relic is preferred.
Comfort in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment and experience at a successful startup is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with business and technical acumen, are essential.
Benefits:
The expected annual base salary range for this position is $144,000 - $196,000, with compensation varying based on role level, skills, qualifications, and experience.
Certain roles are eligible to participate in bonus or commission plans.
