Description:
We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer/Pre-Sales Engineer in New York to be part of an industry-leading FinTech firm.
You will be part of a team of 60 solving an important problem facing the investment management industry, in an environment that is both fun and engaging.
The target segment includes asset allocators such as consultants, OCIO, endowments, foundations, insurance firms, bank wealth platforms, RIAs, and asset managers including traditional asset managers, hedge funds, private equity, real estate, and venture capital funds.
Responsibilities include partnering with sales and support teams to develop and execute a sales plan that meets and exceeds strategic goals and objectives.
You will work closely with prospective customers’ technical resources early in the sales process to understand their technical requirements and best position the sale.
Providing product expertise regarding architecture design, strategy, planning, and deployment while managing all technical aspects of Proof of Value (PoV) deployments is essential.
Regularly performing complex and technical demos is part of the role.
You will need deep technical and commercial knowledge of API and data migration.
Supporting technical and product-related aspects of the RFI/RFP/DDQ process of prospective sales is required.
Understanding prospective customers’ tech stacks and integration aspects is crucial.
You will articulate technical aspects of integrations and partnerships.
Creating strong relationships with prospective customers to build trust and become a technical advocate for their wants and needs is important for driving sales and customer referrals.
Building an end-to-end product knowledge base and providing feedback to Product and Development teams is expected.
Technically enabling channel partners to support the company’s products is part of the job.
Developing technical materials to support sales efforts and building custom environments that relate to specific use cases and customer types is also required.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Software Sales/Pre-Sales Engineer is a must.
Excellent English, both oral and written, is required; other languages are beneficial.
A demonstrated technical understanding of cloud architecture is necessary.
An understanding of investment technology is essential.
Familiarity with the investment management ecosystem and landscape is required.
Hands-on knowledge of API-related products and technologies is necessary.
Previous success in a growth-stage company as a Sales Engineer is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal qualities are essential for this role.
A self-starter attitude and willingness to take initiative are required.
The ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is crucial.
