Oscillas is a rapidly growing software consulting firm based in Chicago, specializing in custom data analytics and automation solutions primarily for industrial/manufacturing firms, as well as a wide array of other clients.
The company’s flagship software, Artemis Cloud, connects seamlessly to client ERP, accounting, payroll, and other core business systems, delivering unified insights, automation capabilities, and advanced analytical reporting.
The position is for an experienced, independent, and motivated SQL-focused Data Analyst / Developer to join the team on a contract basis, with the opportunity for full-time employment thereafter.
The ideal candidate will confidently spearhead complex SQL querying and analytical responsibilities, requiring minimal oversight.
The current project demand is unprecedented, so expertise and quick adaptation are essential.
This is a remote position with a preference for candidates in Chicago or surrounding regions.

Requirements:

Proven mastery of SQL querying, query optimization, and relational data modeling, particularly with PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
Strong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are required.
The candidate must have a proven ability to deliver high-quality work rapidly and independently.
Familiarity with at least one scripting language, especially Python, for data analysis or ETL purposes is necessary.
A practical understanding of cloud deployments, preferably within Amazon Web Services (AWS), is required.
Familiarity or experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP, NetSuite, or similar platforms is preferred.
Additional database technologies, including MySQL and MariaDB, are considered a bonus.
Experience with PHP frameworks (Laravel, Laravel Nova) is a plus.
Knowledge of CI/CD processes and platforms (GitHub, GitHub Actions) is advantageous.
Familiarity with monitoring and analytical platforms (Apache Superset, Prometheus, Sentry) is beneficial.
Prior experience handling sensitive payroll, financial, and accounting data is highly advantageous.

The position offers an initial contract engagement with the opportunity to transition to a full-time role contingent upon performance and company growth.
