Description:

• The SQL Database Administrator position at Eurofins Scientific involves working in an international context to maintain the operational condition of database servers.
• Responsibilities include managing tasks at an advanced level, using a ticketing tool to record and fix incidents, troubleshooting internal tools, and cooperating with IT Infrastructure, Operations, Architecture, and Security teams.
• The role also entails optimizing performance, scalability, and security of instances and databases, contributing to the maturity level of database servers, configuring and troubleshooting crucial elements of global database platforms, and promoting best practices for database architecture.
• The position requires managing technical support IT incidents, handling front and back-office changes, and being flexible to work night shifts or weekends for maintenance or on-call duties.

Requirements:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to gather and understand information quickly, work in a global company, and communicate effectively in a team.
• Technical expertise in database implementation, systems thinking, and experience in infrastructure/operations/project teams.
• Proficiency in MS SQL, PostgreSQL, optional Oracle, Elasticsearch, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, Power BI, Transact-SQL, PowerShell, Windows, Linux, On-Premise, Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google), Terraform, and Octopus.
• Fluency in English for international communication.
