Description:
The Senior Application Engineer: NetSuite/Salesforce plays a crucial role in prioritizing deliverables set by the Enterprise Solutions & Applications department in collaboration with other internal offices at PointClickCare.
This position requires a continuous-improvement mindset and a positive, supportive personality for success.
Responsibilities include defining and developing system requirements for internal business partners, leading the development of technical documentation, and providing training on systems and processes.
The role supports NetSuite and Salesforce implementations, focusing on customization and configuration decisions for long-term application health.
Key responsibilities include serving as a technical platform consultant for cross-functional teams, translating business requirements into detailed system requirements, configuring NetSuite modules, developing SuiteScripts, creating SuiteFlow workflows, and maintaining industry-standard code documentation.
The engineer will also perform technical support, monitor application operations, evaluate new products, and coach peers on development best practices.
Requirements:
A university degree or college diploma is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of hands-on experience as a NetSuite Developer and 2+ years as a Salesforce Developer.
NetSuite Application Developer Certification is preferred, along with NetSuite Administrator and Foundation certifications.
Expert experience with SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk, and SuiteBuilder is necessary, with SuiteCommerce experience preferred.
Familiarity with DevOps pipelines (e.g., Copado) and GitHub is required.
A solid understanding of Salesforce Sales & Service Cloud key concepts is essential, including Campaign Management, Lead Management, and Opportunity Management.
Salesforce developer and administrator certifications are preferred.
Proficiency in Apex, JavaScript, and VisualForce is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with strong organization, time management, and multi-tasking abilities, are necessary.
The ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences and a continuous learning mindset are preferred.
