Tech9 is seeking a Sr. AWS Architect to join their team in Heredia, Costa Rica.

The primary project involves migrating customer identities from an existing authentication system into AWS Cognito for a more scalable and secure framework.
The migration must be automated, seamless, and secure, ensuring zero downtime for users while adhering to strict security and compliance standards.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing the user migration, developing serverless functions using AWS Lambda, managing user data with AWS DynamoDB, and ensuring secure authentication solutions.
The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and documentation of processes for future scalability.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in AWS solutions architecture and cloud-based identity management.
Strong experience with AWS Cognito, including authentication, user pools, and federated identities, is required.
Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, preferably using Node.js, is essential.
Proficiency in AWS DynamoDB for handling and storing user data is necessary.
Experience in designing and implementing user migrations from external applications into AWS is required.
Knowledge of serverless architectures and best practices is a must.
Nice-to-have qualifications include experience with AWS IAM, familiarity with AWS CDK or Serverless Frameworks, and experience with API Gateway and event-driven architectures.
AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect, Security Specialty, or Developer Associate are advantageous.

This position offers the flexibility of remote work from various locations in LATAM, including Costa Rica, Mexico, Uruguay, Colombia, and El Salvador.
