Description:

  • Cloudelligent is seeking a Sr. AWS DevOps Engineer with Kubernetes expertise for a remote position based in India.
  • The job requires working from 8am to 5pm Central Time (US).
  • The primary role involves building and deploying complex cloud environments for customers using innovative automation tools and cutting-edge technologies.
  • Responsibilities include architecting, building, and deploying AWS cloud infrastructure that is redundant, resilient, scalable, self-sustaining, and self-healing.
  • The engineer will promote infrastructure as code and automation, utilizing tools like Terraform, Cloudformation, CircleCI, Gitlab, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • The role also involves designing, building, and maintaining Kubernetes infrastructure, including clusters, namespaces, and deployments.
  • The engineer will work independently with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements and inform them of new features and enhancements.
  • Responsibilities include creating and improving operational practices, ensuring compliance and security in operational infrastructure, and training and mentoring junior DevOps engineers.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in software/computer engineering, computer science, or a related field is required.
  • Effective communication skills, with proficiency in the English language, are necessary.
  • Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps engineering.
  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, Gitlab, or similar is required.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Cloudformation/CDK) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes/EKS or ECS, Rancher, etc.) is essential.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible, etc.) and working with containers (Docker or Docker-Compose, etc.) is required.
  • Candidates should have experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Ruby, Go, or Javascript.
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a project team with limited supervision is necessary.
