Remote Sr. Azure Cloud Engineer

Description:

• The Sr. Azure Cloud Engineer position is a 3-month contract with the potential to convert to a full-time role.
• The role is remote and open to candidates located anywhere in the US.
• Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Key responsibilities involve infrastructure as code using Terraform, Azure network architecture design, edge protection deployment, logging and monitoring implementation, CI/CD pipeline development, API management, and performance optimization.
• The role is crucial for ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code is required.
• Strong expertise in Azure network components such as VNet, VWAN, and Private Link is necessary.
• Proven experience with edge protection services like Application Gateway, Front Door, and Traffic Manager is essential.
• Proficiency in implementing comprehensive logging and monitoring solutions is required.
• In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps is a must.
• Experience with Azure API Management is necessary.
• Strong skills in infrastructure performance tuning are required.
• Additional experience with Azure policies, Sentinel, and Defender for Cloud is a plus.
• Knowledge of Identity and RBAC management using Entra ID is a plus.
• Experience in Azure DevOps organization governance is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with migrating on-prem infrastructure to Azure is a plus.
• Application performance tuning skills and database performance tuning experience are pluses.
