Description:

  • Robots & Pencils is seeking a Fullstack (Node.js/React) Software Developer, Engineer who is known for being a trusted advisor and capable shipper.

  • Responsibilities include authoring and maintaining documentation, developing prototypes, programming according to project plans, and testing as per predetermined test plans.
  • The position also involves collaborating with designers to create interfaces, building mobile APIs and web applications, peer reviewing code, and supporting sales and project managers with technical insights.
  • The developer will work on internal and external projects, contribute to practice code/development meetings, and build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Desired specifics include a deep understanding of Node JS, Java/Javascript, common design patterns, Kubernetes, Linux, Docker, and other technologies.
  • Proficiency in working with SlackAPI’s, disciplined approach to testing, quality, and behavior-driven development, and understanding of CS concepts are required.
  • The role also requires the ability to learn new technologies.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of software delivery experience.
  • B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Passion for user and developer experiences.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal direction.
