Remote Sr. Backend Engineer (NodeJS)

Description:

• Develop highly scalable, low latency, distributed systems with RESTful services.
• Responsible for new software product development and solving technical challenges for scale-ups and enterprise companies.
• Work on large-scale applications and frameworks with outstanding communication and leadership skills.
• Write clean, high-quality, maintainable code and ensure high performance and responsiveness of the central database.
• Develop a highly scalable backend based on event-driven architecture and build secure microservices.
• Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure timely delivery of high-quality apps and participate in the code review process.
• Implement RESTful services with a metric-driven API Gateway and ensure sub-second server response.
• Evaluate relevant technologies, drive architecture and design discussions, and maintain Cloud infrastructure.
• Showcase technical expertise and leadership capabilities with a strong portfolio.
• Work with database technologies, server-side services, and DevOps practices and tools.
• Possess strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of software development experience with expertise in Golang.
• 6+ years of software development experience with a strong base and framework expertise in Node.js.
• Design, develop, and deliver backend and underlying software components.
• Execute long/short term project plans, collaborate with stakeholders, and prioritize project milestones effectively.
• Participate in team on-call activities, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to hiring activities.
