Description:

  • We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in WordPress, PHP, API development, Python, MySQL, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that support our web applications and services.
  • As a Backend Engineer, you will work closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-performance, scalable, and secure solutions.
  • Key responsibilities include customizing and optimizing WordPress themes and plugins, developing custom WordPress plugins, improving performance and security of WordPress-based platforms, writing clean and efficient PHP code, troubleshooting PHP applications, designing and developing RESTful APIs, integrating third-party APIs, developing backend scripts using Python, designing and optimizing MySQL databases, and deploying applications on AWS infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • You must have 6+ years of working experience as a Back-End Engineer.
  • Proficiency in PHP with experience in WordPress development is required.
  • Strong knowledge of API development (RESTful and third-party integrations) is necessary.
  • Experience in Python for backend scripting and automation is essential.
  • You should have expertise in MySQL database design, queries, and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.) is required.
  • Understanding of version control systems (Git) is necessary.
  • You must be able to write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Experience working in agile development environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments, experience with GraphQL APIs, knowledge of server-side caching techniques, and experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments are preferred qualifications.
