As a Sr. Backend Engineer, you will help customers extract insights from large datasets related to consumer lending and mortgages.
You will develop using a modern open-source stack, including Scala + Play, and build REST API and GraphQL endpoints.
Collaboration with diverse teams is essential to create great products, including working with product, design, data engineering, and front-end teams.
You will gain knowledge of the financial industry, including the system that enables Americans to afford homes, cars, and education.

Requirements:

You must have over 6 years of experience in engineering and a deep appreciation for engineering fundamentals.
Extensive experience in architecting data-driven products with complex workflows is required.
Strong SQL skills and a deep understanding of databases and backend systems are necessary for building scalable and maintainable systems.
Experience with Scala, Java, or C# is a significant plus.
A passion for data visualization and the ability to communicate data insights effectively is essential.
You should be eager to learn about the financial system and be comfortable diving into technical finance literature.
Familiarity with financial concepts, especially structured products, is a nice-to-have.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Google BigQuery, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Git, and data analytics tools like Spark, R, or Pandas is also a plus.
Familiarity with React, Redux, and Node.js is considered beneficial.
