Description:

  • Addepar is looking for a Sr. Backend Software Engineer to join the Portfolio Data Workflows team within the Core Product Engineering organization.
  • The team focuses on creating exceptional user experiences, robust APIs, and advanced analysis and visualization tools for Financial Advisors and Wealth Managers globally.
  • Collaborate closely with designers and product managers to prioritize customer experiences.
  • Develop and enhance investment portfolio APIs and user interfaces for defining portfolios, calculations, data investigation, and visualization of legal structures.
  • The role involves implementing the product vision, enhancing portfolio data APIs, creating impactful features, collaborating on architecture designs, and owning software features from inception to delivery.

Requirements:

  • Must have 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in server-side languages like Java, Python, or C++.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server.
  • Ability to architect APIs for scalability.
  • Capable of completing complex projects involving multiple teams.
  • Passion for developing high-quality software products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bonus points for experience in building scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and developing search features using Elasticsearch/Solr/Lucene.

Benefits:

  • The salary range for this role is $144,000 - $225,000 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits.
