Remote Sr. Cloud Architect | Azure

Description:

• The Azure Sr. Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the successful implementation of Azure architectures and environments.
• This role will act as an expert and trusted advisor, providing guidance for transforming legacy implementations to the cloud.
• The engineer will work closely with clients, partners, and other business units to ensure successful consulting engagements.
• Responsibilities include the design, development, and hands-on implementation of Microsoft Azure cloud solutions.
• The engineer will serve as a Microsoft Azure technical resource to determine the needs of clients' businesses, simplifying and automating applications for efficiency.
• Participation in planning, implementation, and growth of customers' Azure foundational footprint is required.
• Collaboration with other Trace3 architects and engineers to recommend and design infrastructure, database, or data storage solutions is essential.
• The role involves conducting proof of concepts (POCs) and implementing production-ready designs in Microsoft Azure.
• Solutions must align with standards and best practices while working with cross-functional engineering and consulting teams.
• Risk analysis and creation of mitigation strategies for continuous evaluation and validation of system design and architecture are necessary.
• The engineer must produce as-built documentation and materials.
• Designing, building, and executing automation frameworks for deployment of MS Azure Cloud Environments is required.
• Support for pre-sales activities may be needed, including collaboration with Sales and Account Management teams.
• Establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in client organizations is important.
• Contribution to the development of internal best practices and new innovative consulting services offerings is expected.
• Building a community and following around company solutions and brand awareness is part of the role.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience with implementation and support of infrastructure services on MS Azure is necessary, including exposure to advanced services like Azure Policy, Azure Monitor, and Azure Log Analytics.
• At least 3 years of experience with current operating system administration (Windows, Linux, Ubuntu, and CentOS) is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience with APIs and performing commands through CLI for implementations and third-party integrations is needed.
• At least 2 years of experience with cloud network connectivity and ExpressRoute, along with troubleshooting cloud connectivity issues, is required.
• Previous experience working for a consulting or services organization is strongly preferred.
• Azure Cloud Platform Certifications are required.
• Experience with Azure Cloud Platform is necessary.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Ruby, or Bash are required.
• Automation experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (ARM Templates, Terraform, etc.) is necessary.
• Experience with DevOps and Container concepts and implementation is required.
• Knowledge of IAM integration with Azure environments is needed.
• Experience in operationalizing Azure cloud environments using Azure native and third-party tools for monitoring and management is required.
• The ability to communicate complex technical concepts in simple language is essential.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and excellent time management skills are necessary.
• A proactive and consultative approach to customer and sales requests is required.
• The ability to manage multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment is essential.
• A motivated self-starter who enjoys troubleshooting and solving challenging problems is needed.
