Description:
Join NBCUniversal Cyber Security to design and implement security platforms and services for protecting the company's businesses.
Work as part of the Cyber ECS Security Data Engineering & Insights team to transition from an operational cyber defense program to an intelligence-based organization.
Collect security data across NBCUniversal and develop capabilities to provide insights to the organization.
Provide guidance on secure design and engineering for security data collection, insights, and analytics.
Onboard various data elements through a data streaming platform.
Ensure continuous ingestion of critical systems data into threat detection and response systems.
Support other teams relying on security data systems by sharing knowledge and assisting in creating dashboards, alerts, and reports.
Create and maintain detailed documentation and collaborate with team members on standard processes and technology roadmaps.
Maintain and support platform infrastructure for SIEM and endpoint product implementations.
Participate in an on-call rotation for system support outside normal business hours.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment and ensure deliverables are met.
Requirements:
5+ years of Cybersecurity and data engineering experience.
Deep understanding of SIEM security principles.
Experience with automation, pipeline, data processing, and security frameworks.
Familiarity with AWS Security Lake, Data Bricks, Snowflake, Splunk, etc.
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like AWS and/or Azure.
Proficiency in Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and microservices architecture.
Ability to leverage data for design and risk decisions using basic analytics.
Experience with CI/CD technologies.
Strong collaboration skills and eagerness to learn new security tools/services.
