Remote Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer

Description:

• The Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer at Apiphani will be responsible for planning, designing, deploying, and maintaining the company's cybersecurity posture and controls to safeguard information assets.
• They will also provide advisory services to Apiphani clients in a consulting and advisory capacity.
• Responsibilities include developing and managing an information security program, maintaining security policies and risk management plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards like SOC 2, implementing security solutions, overseeing penetration tests, incident response, and security awareness programs.
• The role involves mentoring Security Analysts, staying updated on information security developments, reviewing and advising on client security programs, identifying gaps, advising on IT projects, participating in client meetings, and conducting security risk assessments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on security engineering and administration experience in servers, networking, DevOps, cloud, or operating systems.
• Must have or be able to obtain certifications like CISSP, CRISC, SANS GIAC within six months of hire.
• Proficient in information security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, PCI DSS, and SOC.
• Strong infrastructure engineering skills, experience with AWS or Azure, and familiarity with MSP or SI environments.
• Knowledge of cloud native security services, ITIL, ticketing systems, and effective communication.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work in a team, obtain clearance, and demonstrate analytical and critical thinking skills.
